Orange Nation Peru is suspending tours departing between 16 March and 30 December, 2020

The safety and wellbeing of our travelers and staff is our highest priority. Therefore, effective Monday 16 March Orange Nation Peru will suspend all tours until 30 December 2020.  Given the unprecedented impact of COVID-19, we have updated our policy effective immediately: if you have a tour or trek booked from now to 30 December, 100% of your payments can be applied to a future trip in 2021 or 2022.

This decision was taken because tourism, as the main economic activity of Cusco, provides the majority of jobs in the region. Our company must protect our employees and to allow us to start operations again as soon as possible. For this reason, we are unable to offer a refund. We will be providing you the option to change your tour/trek date without paying any penalty to new dates between 2021 and 2022.

******* If you are forced to cancel your trip, we will provide a letter for your insurance company so that you can request that they refund your deposit.

Tours departing from 16 March 2020 to 30 December 2020

What happens with Tours departing after 30 December 2020, throughout 2021?

Reservations and date changes are subject to the Orange Nation terms and conditions. In case of date changes, the passenger will pay the corresponding fees. For cancellations, there is no no option for a refund.

You can contact our support team online or over the phone. Like most countries around the world, this is a difficult time for small businesses in Peru. We are grateful for your support through this challenging time, and encourage everyone to be kind to one another while we navigate this global crisis.

ORANGE Nation is a small, local Peruvian tour company. We are experiencing hundreds of messages and calls about postponing or canceling at this time and want you to know that while this is really scary for our company, we are committed to helping our guests, staff and community, and being resilient to come through this together. At this time, we are choosing not to lay off any of our regular staff, because they rely on us so they can provide for their families. We are also supporting our porters, cooks, and guides because the loss of work, even if only a month, is devastating for their families and communities.

Most of you have only paid your initial deposits for tours and treks with Orange Nation, which is around $200 per person. All guests pay the balance of their tour cost when they get to Cusco to start their tour. We ask for your patience and hope that you are able to postpone your tour and move it to a later date in 2020 or to 2021.

For others, you may like to know that if you are unable to do your tour, you can donate your deposit to our fund for out-of-work porters and their communities, which are hit hard by the stop in tourism and the devastating landslides of February. We will also move your deposit to our new Orange Nation Community Support Fund and will directly send 100% of that deposit to the hardworking people who have been most affected by this global pandemic and economic disaster.
